The UKVI Fees

The UKVI published its fees on the 7 September 2023.  There was concern that the fees would be increased dramatically, however most fees have remained the same.

The list of fees for applications made in the UK and also out of the UK include both visa application fees for immigration as well as nationality applications.

Home Office Visa fees for application made outside the UK

The most common fees such as the visit visas, family visas and the work visas have remained the same.  The visit visa fees remain at £100 for up to 6 months.  Those who make applications for UK visit visas that are longer, the UKVI fees have also remained the same.  For 2 years visit visa it is £376 and the 5 year one £670.

UKVI application costs under the family routes still remain at £1538.

The other categories under the work applications continue as they have been.  The UKVI fees for the Tier 1 Investor is at £1638.  Those making applications under Skilled Worker the UKVI fees are £625 for under 3 years or £1235 for over 3 years. The Shortage Occupations are at the reduced UKVI fees of £479 for under 3 years and then £943 for over 3 years. Applications for the Health and Care Worker visa are again £247 for under 3 years and £479 for over 3 years.

UKVI applications for students remain at £363.

Most of the UKVI costs for an immigration application within the UK have remained the same.  Family application are still £1048.  Permanent settlement applications are £2404. The Life in the UK test is £50.  The work categories are, Skilled Worker the UKVI fees are £719 for under 3 years or £1423 for over 3 years. These are slightly higher than the applications made from abroad.  However the other applications are charged the same.  The Shortage Occupations are at the reduced UKVI fees of £479 for under 3 years and then £943 for over 3 years. Applications for the Health and Care Worker visa are again £247 for under 3 years and £479 for over 3 years.

Nationality Application Fees

The fees for nationality applications, to be naturalised is still £1250.  All the other various categories continue to remain the same.
