The UKVI Fees

Surprise! Surprise! No, it’s not Cilla here but the UKVI.  They just published their fees on the 7 September 2023. And what do you know.  Friday 15 September 2023, they publish more fees with the increase. Yes, the fees for certain applications are going up.    The new UKVI fees will be from the 4 October 2023 so less than a month to go.  Get those applications in if you can.

The list of fees for applications made in the UK and also out of the UK include both UKVI fees for immigration as well as nationality applications.

UKVI fees for application made outside the UK.

The most common fees such as the visit visas have increased by £15.  The visit visa fees will be £115 for up to 6 months.  Those who make applications for UK visit visas that are longer, for 2 years visit visa it is £400 and the 5 year one £771.   An increase by £101.

UKVI applications under the family routes will go up by an additional £308.  The fee from 4 October 2023 will be £1846. So, if you apply before the deadline, you will pay   £1538.

The other categories under the work applications they have been increased too.  The application fees for the Tier 1 Investor is at £1884.  Those making applications under Skilled Worker the immigration fees are £719 for under 3 years or £1420 for over 3 years. The Shortage Occupations UKVI fees will be £551 for under 3 years and then £1084 for over 3 years. Applications for the Health and Care Worker visa are £284 for under 3 years and £551 for over 3 years.

UKVI applications for students increased by £127 will be £490 after the 4 October 2023 or currently at £363.

Home Office Fees for application made within the UK.

Most of the Immigration fees for the application within the UK have also increased in price.  However, the Family application made from within the UK are still £1048.  Even after 4 October 2023.  Permanent settlement applications will go up to £2885.  The Life in the UK test is still £50.  The work categories are, Skilled Worker the UKVI fees are £827 for under 3 years or £1500 for over 3 years. These are slightly higher than the applications made from abroad.  The Shortage Occupations UKVI fees of £551 for under 3 years and then £1084 for over 3 years. Applications for the Health and Care Worker visa are £284 for under 3 years and £551 for over 3 years.

In addition, the priority fee has gone up from £800 to £1000.

Nationality UKVI Fees

The fees for nationality applications, to be naturalised will be £1500.  All the other various categories have also increased.  The citizenship ceremony fee remains the same at £80.
