Who Is the India Young Professionals Scheme for?
This is a new visa aimed at Indians nationals.
When does the India ballot scheme start?
The next ballot will open on 28 February 2023, and close on 2 March.
The 48-hour ballot period will close at 8:59pm India Standard Time on Thursday 2 March 2023. Do not leave your application to the last minute. Those in the queue at the time of the ballot closing, or in the process of submitting their application at the time of the ballot closing, will not be able to apply.
How do you enter the ballot?
Indian citizens can enter the ballot if you are an Indian citizen and you are eligible for the India Young Professionals Scheme visa. See our previous blog.
You must enter the ballot online. You will need to provide your:
- name
- date of birth
- passport details
- a scan or photo of your passport
- phone number
- email address
How will you know if you are selected for the India Young Professionals Scheme?
The successful entries will be picked at random. You will be sent the results by email within 2 weeks of the ballot closing.
What are the chances of being selected?
There are 2,400 visas available in the February ballot.
What are the Costs of Entering the India Young Professionals Scheme?
It’s free to enter the ballot. You should only enter if you plan to apply for the visa, which costs £259, and are able to meet the financial, educational, and other requirements.
What do I do if I am selected for the India Young Professionals Scheme?
If you’re successful in the ballot, you will be invited to apply for a visa.
You will have 30 days from the date of the email to apply online, pay the visa application fee and immigration health surcharge.
If you are successful in the ballot but choose not to apply for the visa, you do not need to inform the immigration Authorities.
If I am not selected, can I appeal?
The results of the ballot are final. You cannot appeal if you are unsuccessful.
You can enter future ballots if you’re unsuccessful.
When is the next India Young professional Scheme ballot?
The next ballot is likely to be held in late July.
